More Introductions
This is Jasper. He is half Siamese. He has a very deep voice. He came from the Dumb Friends League. He is an indoor cat. He would not go outside for anything or anyone. He is an INDOOR cat. But he is a terrific mouser and the basement is his favorite hunting ground. That is where the mice come indoors so he doesn't have to go outside to get them. He likes to help with all sorts of indoor taskes. He likes to help with the filing, as in the first picture. He likes to blog. He likes to help out in the bathroom. (He believes cleanliness is next to godliness.) He is especially good with rolls of toilet paper and spiders in the drain. He likes to monitor the burning of the wood stoves in the living room and the den. He likes computers and he especially likes to roll up in rugs. He steals jewelry and watches.
This is Jasmine. She is a lynx-point siamese cat. She came from the Dumb Friends League, too. She is also an indoor cat, although she likes to venture outside once in a while in the summertime when it is not raining and it is not too windy. She is extremely affectionate and will throw herself shamelessly at anyone who comes near her. She is also very helpful. We have had to work very hard to convince her that we can, indeed, eat, sleep, bathe, cook, read, keyboard and dress without her help. She is not a good mouser, but she loves to stalk moths. And she likes to move things around the house: like cat and dog toys and dirty underwear and dirty socks. It's terrific when you have scurried around and cleaned everythong up because company is coming and then just as they arrive she comes dowstairs with something choice out of the dirty clothes hamper.
This is Genji. He is an Akita. He is very gentle and kind and we have had him since he was a pup. He takes care of all of us and watches out for us all the time. He is like a polar teddy bear. He marches to his own drum.
This is Gwynneth. She is an Aussie/Golden cross and she came from the Dumb Friends League as well. She has some abandonment issues, so she is happiest when she can be three feet or less from one of us at all times. We try as much as we can to accommodate her when she is indoors because we have to wash the rugs a lot when we don't. She hates to be cold and wet and is deathly afraid of the basement.
Please can Jaspar come over for the spiders in the sink? I like all the descriptions & hope I can find a good 'indoor' cat when I move. Fun to see all your animals in one place!
